Zach and Rebecca were/are part of our recovery family and we knew them only a short while before his recent illness, He celebrated his anniversary of sobriety with us fairly recently. He and Rebecca were a team, their love was obvious. And they supported each other during Zach's illness, though it was a tough path. They were/are kind, hardworking people, genuine in every respect. We are shocked and saddened by his sudden death and our love for Rebecca will only expand as she learns to navigate this devastating loss. Likewise, our love and concern for their family are extended. Words fail in reality. Love to all.

One of my favorite memories of Zach happened not that long ago. He’d just gotten that Ram truck and was showing it to me for the first time. He was SO proud of it and rightfully so. That famous grin of his never left his face. I remember clearly him saying, “I never thought I’d ever been driving something like this.” I answered that he’d come a long way, that he was a hard worker and that he deserved it. I was glad I said it. You could tell how much he enjoyed hearing it. Zach overcame odds in his life that most of us cannot imagine. I admired his tenacity, his strength and his courage. He was just a genuinely good guy, easy going, slow to anger, soft-spoken, and always that smile!! I was so optimistic about his future. Rebecca and his kids will miss him, and so will I.
