Wray Bowling Gunn, 70, passed away June 26, 2017. He graduated from Whitehaven High School in 1964 and attended Memphis State University from 1964-1966. Wray was a crew chief for UH 1 Huey helicopters. He served in the 163rd A Read Obituary
I served with Wray in Vietnam as a door gunner on our Huey with the 101st Airborne 1969-1970. We had a great relationship and last time I saw him was here in Cleveland Ohio in 1983 when he attended a reunion of the men of the flight platoon of the 163rd Avn Co. He always wanted to show me the ducks at the Peabody hotel.... Just ran out of time for that one Wray. Gonna see if I can find some pics of you in Nam for here. I knew Wray for about 40 years, flying radio controlled model airplanes and helicopters with him for about the last 30 years.
He was widely known among radio control clubs and modellers in the area.
