Wilma and I worked together at the Corps of Engineers for many years and had a great friendship inside and outside of the Corps. We shared our love of dancing and theatre. My husband, Bob, and I always had a New Years Eve party (because nite clubs got too rough for us) and Wilma and Aubrey were always there. We had a great group of friends and Wilma and Aubrey were special. I enjoyed Wilma at our Ladies Engineer group meetings (became mostly lunch). She actually kept the club alive when it was about to be disbanded. She was a lovely, fun friend, who I missed when she finally moved to Texas, and I will miss her greatly. She had a good life, even after losing Aubrey too soon, loved her faithful daughter and two granddaughters, not to mention the grandchildren.
