William H. Zachry, Jr. passed away peacefully at his home on June 19, 2023 after a courageous struggle against Parkinson’s Disease. He was preceded in death by his son, William Harris Zachry. who also succumbed to Parkinson’s Dise Read Obituary
Bill was kind, intelligent, curious, and funny. I wish I could have spent more time with you Uncle Bill. You will be missed by many.
Bill was a wonderfully supportive colleague and friend when we both taught psychology at The University of Tennessee at Martin. He, Lynda and Will were great neighbors here in Glenwood Subdivision. His positive impact on our university and community was simply enormous
I was so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I had the pleasure of know g him as a dear friend as well as a wonderful teacher at UTM. Prayers for you Lynda as you go on without Bill.
Eve and I have many blessed memories sharing prayers and Bible studies with Bill and Lynda. May God richly bless and comfort Lynda and the whole family.
Bill was delightful to be around especially with his quick wit and humor. He was a kind, patient and caring friend who loved the Lord and the church. He was an encouragement to many and will be greatly missed. I consider myself blessed to have known hin.

Dr. Zachry was an incredible teacher and an even better person. I arrived at UT Martin a year after he began teaching, and I ended up changing my minor to psychology due to his impact. I was blessed to later return as his faculty colleague, and I will miss knowing he was just down I-40.

Bill was the wise, talented, and intuitive brother of my best friend Ellen growing up in Chattanooga. I remember his kind demeanor and supportive attitude toward us, even though he was several years older. My sincere condolences to all his family, especially Lynda, John, and Ellen.
