William H. Troxel's Obituary
William H. Troxel, 79, passed away on Tuesday, August 19th after a long battle with cancer. He was courageous in his fight to survive, and kept a positive mindset throughout this journey. William was born in Appleton, WI, attended Hyde Park High School in Chicago, IL. He earned Bachelor degrees from both the University of Chicago, and the University of Wisconsin, and an MBA from the University of San Francisco. William was employed by American Airlines, working in San Francisco, CA, New York, NY, and ending his career with AA in Dallas, TX, working in the Marketing Research Department. He joined Methodist Healthcare Systems in 1986 as Director of Planning and Development, retiring in 2004. William pursued his love of making pottery after retirement and his wares have been sold and displayed in many craft shows and local businesses. William is survived by his wife, Connie, daughter Jennifer Fahrney (Mike), son Brad Troxel, and his sister Solveig Ayres (William). He is predeceased by his father, Dr. John Troxel, and mother, Annette Troxel of Chicago, IL, and brother John Troxel Jr. of San Francisco CA. Both William and Connie are members of the Germantown United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to GUMC for educational grants. A Memorial Service for Bill will be held at the Trinity Center at McVay Gardens, Germantown United Methodist Church weather permitting. Services are Friday, August 28ith, at 11:00 am.
