William John McGoldrick's Obituary
William John McGoldrick, 91 of Bartlett, went to be with the Lord, September 23, 2023, at Kings Daughters and Sons.
Bill was an avid choral and barbershop singer for his entire adult life. His claims to fame were singing in Carnegie Hall at age 4, being able to sight-read music at age 7, famous for being an avid ‘hugger,’ and kissing the Blarney stone in Ireland. He served in the USAF from 1952 to 1956 during the Korean War. He retired as a supervisor with the Internal Revenue Service where he worked for 21 years. He attended Grace Presbyterian Church in Bartlett, TN.
He is survived by his wife, Jane St. Clair McGoldrick of 48 years. His survivors include sons, Keith McGoldrick, Shawn McGoldrick; daughter-in-law, L. Allene McGoldrick; two grandsons; five great-granddaughters; two great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by his first wife Edna Svava McGoldrick in 1975.
Visitation will be at Grace Presbyterian Church in Bartlett on Saturday, October 14 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A memorial service will be held immediately following the visitation at 11:00 AM.
