William L. "Mac" McCord's Obituary
William L. “Mac” McCord, Jr. loving husband of Jill McCord, passed away April 4, 2016. Most recently he was co-owner and host of Cottage Grove Bed and Breakfast in Kirksville, MO. Prior to that he sold and facilitated training programs for Dale Carnegie and also worked in sales for Armstrong United Van Lines, Memorial Park Cemetery, and American Can Corp. He received a Bachelor of Professional Studies/Marketing and Development of Human Resources from the University of Memphis. Mac was also past president of University College of Alumni Association, Board Member of Fogelman Business College Alumni Association, member and past president of Sales and Marketing Sales Association, Rotary member, and Sigma Phi Epsilon Alumni. He was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church where he was an active choir and Seekers Sunday School member. Mac is survived by his wife, Jill McCord; their 6 children, Michael McCord (Meg), Debbie McCord, Jon Bruns (Debbie), Joy Bruns Luttrell (Jim), Joel Bruns (Regina), and Kellie McCord Little (Paul); 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, James McCord (Nancy) and 1 sister, Marjorie “Midge” Howard (Jerry). The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Thursday, April 7 and funeral services will be at 1 pm Friday, April 8 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery in Cincinnati, OH. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Rotary Foundation or Baptist Reynolds Hospice House. Services have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis TN 38119.
