Wesley Grace's Obituary
Wesley G. Grace of Memphis, TN passed away at the age of 71 on March 14, 2016, with his adoring wife, Brenda, and his only son, Wesley at his side. Born on March 14, 1945 in Jackson, TN to Serena and Wesley Grace, Sr., Wesley graduated from Jackson High School and remained in close contact with many of classmates. Wesley earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Tennessee and his Masters in Urban Geography-Urban Planning from the University of Memphis. Wesley enjoyed a successful career as a civil engineer and urban planner, eventually retiring as President of his firm, Grace & Associates, Inc. Following a brief retirement, Wesley created Professional Development Seminars, Inc. to provide continuing education for licensed engineers, and each year he enjoyed reconnecting with his fellow engineer friends. Wesley and his wife, Brenda, enjoyed this work for 25 years and will sincerely miss it. Wesley leaves Brenda Grace, the love of his life since meeting in college. He is also survived by his only son, James “Wesley” Grace “and his wife Jill McCready Grace”, and two grandchildren, Wesley Fitzhugh Grace and James “Cooper” Grace. He cherished his grandsons and enjoyed taking them on many adventurous trips. These grandsons and their friends loved spending time at home of their grandparents “Biggie” and “BeBe.” Visitation will be 2:00-4:00p, Saturday March 19 at Memorial Park Funeral Home at 5668 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Church Health Center.
