Victor Frank Giusti passed away while visiting New Orleans with close family on Saturday, January 23, 2016, at the age of 96. He is survived by his loving family including son Jim (Dotty) of Memphis, daughter, Ann Bodnar (Mike) of Read Obituary
I first met Vic and Margaret when Ann and I became friends in Jr. High School….such wonderful people welcoming us all to their home. After many years I was reunited with them when they moved to Trezevant, where my parents also lived. I have so enjoyed seeing and visiting with them over the years when I came to Memphis. They both will be remembered so fondly and missed.
The first time I met Uncle Vic was at the end of World War II. He came to visit us in the Bronx, and he was in uniform. The uniform, his height, and his deep voice really impressed me, And to put icing on the cake, he whistled for a cab that was a couple of blocks away, and the cab turned and came right to him. I was very young at the time, so I was not yet aware of the impact of the war on everyone. It would be several years before I would see him again, but I never forgot that day.Paul Giusti
