The McGarity Family My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Vernon was a great soldier. Vernon and I – Walter R. Levdansky a Staff Sergeant were in the 393rd and 99th infantry together. I remember when he and I were only approx. 1 block away from each other when the fighting and battles began. Our buddy soldier Bob Walter was also in our squad. Bob is living in Ohio. We were all the same age. I would love to speak with someone in Vernon’s family if I may. I am married 62 yrs to my wife Irene and 5 children. My contact information is: Walter R. Levdansky phone 412 384 8093 addr: 331 Center Avenue Elizabeth Pa 15037. Many of my war buddies are gone however I often wondered where Vernon lived. I would like to have your phone and address also if you don’t mind. God Bless you, Vernon’s fellow soldier – Walter R.
