If the stars seem a bit more beautiful tonight, or if this world feels a bit darker, I will recognize it as our exceptional family matriarch, the stunning Theresa Higgins, ascending into Heaven. She passed away very early this morning in Memphis, having spent only one night in the hospital and away from her beloved home. At 98, she could still turn heads with her gorgeous skin, flawless style, brilliant smile, and grace beyond measure. Aunt Theresa defined the gentle nature of a true lady, and will be terribly missed by her daughters and grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as the rest of our family, who treasure our memories as well. She was one of the great ones. May God bless Barbara Migliara, her sister Kay, and all the extended Higgins clan. I loved her, and will miss her, and my heart and prayers are with you.
Our sorrow that Aunt Theresa is gone from us is overshadowed by gratitude that she was in our lives for so long. Her life illustrated the two Great Commandments: “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with thy whole heart, and with thy whole soul, and with thy whole mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. And the second is like it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.” With love to our family. Mary Lou and Steve Ray
