I found about Susan passing just today. The shock of this gifted nurse leaving so young and intelligent is profound. I was searching for a lost cat and ran into Susan. We talked for some time. What a delightful young lady I hurt for the family for there loss is great. Each time we talked Susan lifted my spirits, and encouraged me in retirement. I am shaken by this untimely event God bless the family richly.
Susan was a friend to so many different people, including me her Chem-lab partner and dear friend from HMS&HHS. Sue was one of my first fast best friends when I moved to Germantown in middle school. We talked on the phone late at night when she would play me songs like a Deana Carter’s song “Strawberry Wine” from her tape player. She loved music and loved sharing.Susan’s kindness and warmth made her approachable and a friend to anyone. I am deeply saddened for our loss of this beautiful soul.Sue, I love you and miss you.My thoughts and prayers are with her family and all those she left behind. Our lives will be poorer & colder without Susan’s warmth and love, but I’m determined to be more like her lifelong example of friendship.Jacob Carter
Susan was always such a great friend. She had a confidenceabout her and such sweet spirit. She always had a smile on her face and gave the best hugs! When I returned home from being detained in the Dominican Republic, she was great about checking in on me with her texts and calls. She was a steady reminder that there are good, loving people in this world. I will always remember her fondly, and she will be greatly missed.Prayers and condolences to the whole Ellis and Kurts families.
