Steve made an impact on my life. As a child our family vacations were spent visiting my fathers army/war buddy, Steve.
What an amazing person.
These stories and memories I hold dear in my heart. And tell them often to my own family now.

My sincere and deepest condolences to the family. Steve meant so much to the Tomak family. My hope is that all of you remember the beautiful man Steve was and that your memories give you comfort. Steve and Ed had such a unique bond that was forged in 1967. Trained together in Fort Knox and Fort Dix and then off to Germany. They came home together on leave and then to Vietnam. Ed was lead man and Steve was the radio man. Two 20 year old boys shot and wounded within minutes together. Both thinking the other had passed Steve called Ed’s parents to give his condolences and found Ed was alive. The bond they had for over fifty years was unique for sure. Ed passed in September and now his friend Steve. Two lives cut short to soon. Mathew 5:4 “Happy are those who mourn since they will be comforted” My hope is that you all find some comfort in the words and love from those who cared about Steve. Vicky
