She and her daughter, Diane, were our next door neighbors for the first 6 years of my life. I remember what a peaceful street we lived on…our address was 1788 Alta Vista…Ha, I even remember the phone number, 357-3064. That place was peaceful because of neighbors like Sarah Perkins….and Diane, always beautiful, always smiling, carries her mother’s sweetness. I remember Sarah and her family as being some of the best people I ever knew…As a child, I remember thinking that this place next door to the Schlossers must be heaven on earth. Some of the most peaceful, special moments of my childhood took place in those first six years of peaceful bliss next door to the Schlossers. I count myself as one of many fortunate people to have known her and her love, and that of her family, over the years. God bless the family of Sarah Rook Schlosser Perkins. I know that her family will hold on to the many fond memories of her in the days, weeks, and years to come. I will never forget the most peaceful, safe place on earth I experienced as a little child, next door to the Schlossers. God bless all of you. I am glad I knew you Mrs. Perkins; I look forward to seeing you again one day in heaven, where we will once again be neighbors in the most peaceful place in the universe.
