Rose Grace (Maceri) Abernathy's Obituary
Rose Grace (Maceri) Abernathy, 74, passed away January 19, 2017. She was born October 6, 1942 to Eva Kathryn Fracchia and Joseph Frank Maceri, Sr. She attended Our Lady of Sorrows Elementary School and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1960. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service after 30 years. She later worked as a hostess for Perkins Restaurant. She greatly enjoyed bowling, cheering for the Atlanta Braves baseball team, and watching hummingbirds. She is survived by her children, Harold Eugene “Butch” Sanderson Jr., Kathryn (Maceri) Eddington, and Patricia Anne Sanderson; grandchildren, Christopher Taylor and Joshua McConnell; and brothers, Joseph Frank Maceri Jr. and Samuel Louis Maceri. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. with the Rosary at 7 p.m., Saturday, January 21 and funeral services will be 1 p.m., Sunday, January 22 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Graveside services will immediately follow in the Garden of Grace at Memorial Park Cemetery. A reception will follow at Samuel Maceri’s residence.
