Robert Ferrell's Obituary
Robert Webster Ferrell, 86, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 9, at the Ave Maria Home. He was a life-long Memphian and a member of First Evangelical Church.During WWII he served in the Navy on a PT boat in the Pacific. He later wrote a book and co-authored another on PT boats, and was a contributor to the PT Boat Museum in Fall river, MA. Bob was a pharmacist, owned High Point Terrace Drug Store and later was employed at St. Joseph and St. Francis hospitals. After retiring he enjoyed painting in watercolor, joined the Memphis-Germantown Art League and won many show ribbons and purchase prizes with his art. His other interests included researching a variety of subjects including Biblical history and prophecy, business cycles, WWII aircraft, anthropology and numerous scientific subjects.He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Covington Ferrell, daughters Linda (Bob) Pierce of Hendersonville, NC, Cynthia (Brent) Cummins and Janet Ferrell of Knoxville, TN. He also leaves his brother Dr. Clark (Carol) Ferrell of Gainesville, GA, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Services will be at Memorial Park Wednesday, March 13, with visitation at 1:30 and service at 2:30. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Calvary Rescue Mission, PO Box 2077, Memphis, 38101.Location: Eastgate Arrow Color: Blue
