Robert Webster Ferrell, 86, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 9, at the Ave Maria Home. He was a life-long Memphian and a member of First Evangelical Church.During WWII he served in the Navy on a PT boat in the Pacific. He la Read Obituary

As a young pharmacy student from the country in East Tennessee, I was always glad to see that my shift at St. Joseph Hospital Pharmacy had me working with Mr. Ferrell. He was always respectful to the various people or employees who worked with us and he had a great sense of humor. He presented a professional image and he treated me with patience as I learned the sometimes confusing world of working in a big hospital pharmacy. Although I lost touch with him during the years after I left St. Joseph, I would try to ask about him whenever I saw anyone who might know how he was doing. I regret that i didn’t follow up with a card or note to let him know how much I valued his trying to teach me how to be a good pharmacy employee and as he provided a good role model for me.
