Robert Michael Caraway's Obituary
Robert Michael Caraway, 71, of Collierville, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on July 28, 2018. Mike was born December 27, 1946 in Blytheville, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Pam Caraway, and his parents, Bobby Ann and Thad Caraway.Mike was a Christian who deeply believed in his Lord and Savior. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle. Mike was a former golf professional at Colonial Country Club in Memphis, TN, Kennett Country Club in Kennett, MO, and was currently Executive Vice President of Midwest–SouthEastern Equipment Association (formally SouthEastern Equipment Association) for 46 years. He was a member of CrossRoads United Methodist Church in Collierville, TN and a former member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Germantown, TN, where he served on numerous committees in the church. Mike was an avid golfer, former basketball coach, and could almost always be seen at his grandkid’s sporting events cheering them on.He leaves behind his two children, Kelly Caraway Stockel (Phil) and Kevin Caraway (Brooke); four cherished grandchildren, Drew Stockel, Kenzley Caraway, Keelyn Caraway, and Kiley Caraway; his sister, Ann P. Caraway; and a host of other family members who deeply loved him.Visitation will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery Wednesday, August 1st from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. The funeral will be held Thursday, August 2nd at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.Mike will be remembered by all as a kind, compassionate, caring, hard working and witty person who loved his family deeply. He leaves a legacy of love, strength, and hope for all to follow as we walk this earth without him.
