Rick Rodell's Obituary
Rick Rodell, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on May 24 at the age of 80, leaving a legacy of purpose, loyalty, and determination. Known for his generosity, deep love for family, one-of-a-kind personality, and style, Rick lived by a code rooted in faith, responsibility, and individual freedom.
Married to Karen Rodell for 41 years, Rick was a steadfast provider—of love, stability, and opportunity. He was a proud father to Kevin and Brandon, grandfather to Anna, Amy, Alexa, Hailey, and Micah, and great-grandfather to Zion and Zoey. His love for them was constant and deeply felt.
Rick founded Cornerstone Systems in 1997. He led the company as President/CEO through 2014 and as Chairman until 2025. Cornerstone was more than a business to him; it was an extension of his values and a reflection of his purpose.
An avid gun enthusiast, scuba diver, and Porsche lover, Rick found joy in both high-speed drives and quiet afternoons on the lake. His philanthropic efforts reached from Memphis to mission fields abroad, always guided by gratitude and obedience rather than recognition.
Rick lived with uncompromising determination. His presence was unmistakable. His legacy endures in the family he cherished, the company he built, and the example he set.
The visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the service time at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
