Carol, this picture of Rick is exactly as I remember him. He always had such a pleasant presence about him, always smiling & happy. A bit of a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. Hugs to You, Matthew and Christine and all his family & loved ones. Sometimes we wonder, does anyone remember? Yes, Rick is remembered and You and Rick as a couple were beautiful together.
I remember Rick (and Van) as the “older” cousins. All I know is that when they made their way through Wisconsin, there was a lot of joking and laughter! I think there was a story about a concrete sculpted head that sat on a top shelf in our basement and creeped me out! I also know that one of them gave me their Phi Kappa Psi t-shirt that I wore everyday, faithfully, from about 1969-1971–it finally fell apart. I also remember Aunt Rose and Uncle Al being very proud of him! It’s amazing that his picture is as I remember him (ok, a little grayer but aren’t we all?) That was a lot of years ago and although the details are blurred, the memories are incredibly warm.Carol and family, may you find peace in this difficult time. God bless you.
