GENE JERNIGAN, after battling Alzheimer’s disease, went home to the Lord on March 22, 2012. He was born March 2, 1932 to Albert Pierce and Helen Milam Jernigan. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marian; one daughter, Diane J Read Obituary
As I read the obituary for Mr. Jernigan, I was truly impressed by the outstanding and full life he lived. Never-the-less, 80 years of life is still much too short. How thankful we are that our grand Creator, Jehovah plans to restore his original purpose

Dear Marion, Diane, Dick, and Mark,We are so sorry to learn about Gene’s death. He was a great guy, all the good things written in the paper and much more. I hope he was able to keep painting, making music and playing tennis throughout his illness.
