I am SO sorry. I just ‘stumbled’ on this notice and am in disbelief. I always kept Porter in the back of my mind as just being ‘back there’ ( in the southeast). It was a highlight in my life when I answered the phone some years back and heard, “Hey ‘Stook’! (short for Stukey)!!! The past came tumbling back just like we were right there all over again! Porter and I worked at Swiftcurrrent in Glacier National Park! After that reconnect/catch-up call I was ALWAYS SO hopeful he would come back for a reunion in Glacier! I’ll never forget his voice on that phone call or his genuine love of life and laughter during our times at ‘Swifty’! The world has lost a good one. Prayers and a gentle Montana hug to Porter’s family and all who love him. 💖
