Nelson Peatross' Obituary
Nelson Kellerman Peatross died on Friday, May 11, 2018 in Memphis, TN after a sudden and unexpected illness. He was born in Shreveport, LA on August 10, 1972 to his parents Farron Goodell Peatross and William Campbell Peatross. He is survived by his parents, brother, Scott (Katherine) Peatross, and his beloved nephew and niece, Carter and Leiya, and his grandmother, Suzanne Goodell. He has a large extended family in Shreveport, New Orleans, Oregon, NYC, Baltimore, San Francisco, and Atlanta. Nelson earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Ozarks and a Masters degree in History and Education from Louisiana Tech University. He was employed by the Shelby County Juvenile Court and was a loyal and well- regarded employee. He enjoyed his work and gained a great deal of satisfaction helping his clients. Nelson possessed a gift of skills in computer technology and electronics. He was a kind, loving man and always willing to give you the shirt off his back. His family deeply loved him and we will mourn his passing every day. There is an emptiness in our hearts from his absence in our lives. Nelson’s family thanks Dr. Denis Foretia and his team at Methodist Hospital Germantown for their dedicated effort to save Nelson.
