To the Walsh Family I would like to take this time to express my condolences to the entire family. Yes we know that these are very difficult times for the family, but I also know that all the family members and friends will be there to provide the necessary support and encouragement to you. I also hope that my brief remarks will do the same. My words of comfort to the family are actually found in the bible. So they are really God’s thoughts to the Walsh family. Just look at the loving comfort that he provides. God knows that his earthly family would like to live. They have questions about death itself. Many centuries ago a faithful servant asked; if a man dies can he live again? Then he came up with the correct answer. (Job 14:14) He knew that God is the source of all life, and that he cares about us. So he has promised us that soon all sickness and death will be a thing of the past. ( Revelation 21:3-4) Our Creator also tell us that soon even those who have died could be restored back to life. (John 5:28-29) Would you not agree that these are indeed comforting words from God? Yes I understand that many might find this resurrection promise from God something hard to put trust in. Did you know that there are at least eight accounts in the bible that speaks on the resurrection blessing from God? They are preserved in the bible as a preview of the grand blessing soon to come. Here is one such example. It is recorded at Acts 9:36-42. Perhaps in the days to come, you may have a chance to consider the verses. When doing so, why not think about how the material applies first to Michael, as God uses his power to restore life back to him. Then think about how the verses would apply to all the family members and friends, as they become eye witnesses of this wonderful blessing from God. Please remember, that the bible is God’s way of providing the family with comfort. He truly loves you. The resurrection will take place. For God does not lie. ( Titus 1:2)
