I worked with Mike in the Corps of Engineers. Regardless of who you were or where you were in the organization, Mike always had a calm effective manner and always sought to find the best solution for all. I have great respect for Mike as a professional and even more admiration for him as a thoughtful friend. He always exhibited a fine Christian character whatever the circumstances, and as many of you know, providing IT services can be pretty stressful at times! Mike was a quiet mentor to me when I first began working at Defense Depot in 1980, but he probably didn’t realize it. He showed me the ropes and filled me in on things during our talks during break time. We both had gotten or were getting accounting degrees, and had that in common as well. It was a pleasure to see a familiar face when he and I went on to work at the Corps of Engineers. Sorry to hear the earth has lost a competent, principled and courageous man.
