Melvin E. Bartlett's Obituary
Melvin Ellis Bartlett passed away November 5, at the graceful age of 100. Melvin was born in Ripley, MS and grew up in Memphis where he attended Humes High School. He was a navy World War II veteran and saw combat in the pacific. He was a master Electrician all his life and owned Bartlett Brothers Electric for many years. He was an inductee to the Memphis Park Commission Hall of Fame for softball. He was a member of St Stephen Methodist church and a member of the Gideons.Melvin was proceeded in death by his wife Mildred H Bartlett, brother Loyd Bartlett and sister Leytrs Dotson. He is survived by his two daughters Bonnie Daniel (Watt) and Bobbi Roland (Wayne). Four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.The family will receive friends on Friday, November 8 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with the service celebrating his 100 years of Life at 11 a.m. All services will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery.
