Martha Geurin's Obituary
Martha Tweedy Geurin, 77, passed from this life suddenly on December 8, 2015. Born in Dyersburg, Tennessee, Martha moved to Memphis in her childhood years and graduated from Messick High School. A devoted wife, mother and friend to many, Martha retired from FirstTennessee Bank after 35 years of service in retail banking and customer service. Martha was a long time member of Elliston Baptist Church and Bartlett Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and was involved in many activities. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years Bobby Geurin, Martha is survived by her son Michael (Tammy) Geurin of Hot Springs, Arkansas; daughter Wendy Geurin (Michael) Smith of Memphis, Tennessee; sister Peggy (David) Campbell of San Antonio, Texas; brother Robert (Beulah) Tweedy of Wichita Falls, Texas; grandsons Justin (Robin) Geurin of Water Valley, Mississippi and Zackary (Hannah) Geurin of Alexander, Arkansas, two great-granddaughters Elizabeth and Lillian, and a host of extended family and friends.A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 11, 2015 at Memorial Park Funeral Home at 1:00 pm in the Riverside chapel. Visitation with the family will be 2 hours before the service with burial immediately following. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials to Bartlett Baptist Church or to the charity of donors choice.
