My husband Tony and I met Martha when Wendy married Tony’s cousin Mike. The minute we met, I could tell what a warm, sincere and loving person she was; she and Bobby made us feel so welcome to their family as did the rest of the family.Martha had such a gentle spirit and had a way of making everyone feel special. I always referred to her as being precious as I sincerely thought she was one of the most precious people I had ever known. We admired her strength in taking care of Bobby and with helping out with the care of Mike’s dad and his aunt who came to stay with Mike and Wendy. She was always willing to help. Each time we had the privilege of spending time with her and with Bobby, it was a special memory we will treasure. On a visit to our home Tony told Martha she had the most soothing voice and that he could see her being a storyteller. We always loved hearing her stories and her laugh, she had a great sense of humor. Tony will always remember the cakes and pies she would make for his birthday on our 4th of July visits to Memphis. She was a true treasure to all who knew her. It is going to be so hard for her children and family in the days to come, but I hope knowing how much she was loved and the memories will help give them some peace and strength to handle their loss and Heaven’s gain of another Angel right along side of that other Angel Bobby. With deepest love and condolences to her family and friends Tony and Bertha Smith

Woke up early with Mrs. Geurin on my mind. To say she is the kindest, most sincere, special person I have encountered as a nurse would be an understatement. I am just so thankful to have gotten to know her and spend time with her, thank you so much for sharing her with all of us. Her amazing family is, undoubtedly, a reflection of her. We are thinking and praying for each of you. Love you all.Michelle Armstrong
I have known Martha (Mrs. Geurin to me) all of my life. She was one of the sweetest people I have ever known. She and Mr. Geurin went to church with me and my family for many, many years at Elliston Baptist Church. I had the privilege of coaching their son Mike in football and basketball at Elliston Academy. My wife kept their daughter, Wendy, in daycare when she was in kindergarten. Martha will be greatly missed by both me and my family. Words cannot express how much we loved her. My wife Janet says that she was one of the sweetest women that she ever knew as well. We know that she is now home and back with Bobby in Heaven.Rickey Hedges Family

It is so hard for us the believe that Martha, who was just a sweet and loving person. Visiting in her home was like staying in a 10 Star Hotel. She has two of the sweetest grown now. Mike & Wendy who have so much of the good things that their Mom gave to them to share with others. We always looked forward to your visits to the early days of Lazy Oak and then the triips to the lake house with David and Peggy trying to see how many could stay up on skis. Peggy and David became just like our extra kids. Now a little mature to be called kids. I remember our trip for Grandma Hayes 80th surprised birthday party. Our memories are also of you dad and how he refused some of our fun times. But Graceland and several other other enjoyable places and got to go watch go up to the roof. It was just a great trip and many other stories which we will keep forever. I misws Oma and was amazed as how Peggy set everything up for her to return home. Peggy and all have lost a really wonderful sister and we have lost that also. Here smile will always be our great memory. Love all of you so much. Carline and Don Scott
Martha was the sweetest spirit we’ve come to know! She will be sorely missed by many.As the matriarch and “Martha Stewart” of the family she made sure all was well and everyone did the right thing.Martha was such a good sport! She could laugh at herself and also take sweet spirited joy in others’ missteps. Will never forget her one and only attempt at skiing! Putting on her skis the night before, in a heated, carpeted, locker room in Beaver Creek, CO, ‘just to get the feel’ was side splittingly funny. Let’s just say she never ‘got the feel’. Her actual skiing the next day was something she always talked and laughed about. “You know that nice young ski instructor skied backwards, at a snail’s pace, all the way down the hill, just for me, so I’d have something to hold onto.” It still gives us the giggles…We will miss her terribly as a friend and our hearts go out to the family. Can not imagine your pain. Losing a mother, sister, grandma is never easy. But an angel like Martha is even tougher to bear.Take comfort in knowing she earned her wings and is now up there with Bobby laughing, coordinating and directing like perfect angels do!Our sincerest condolences to Martha’s amazing family. She loved you all so much and was so proud.Love to all, John & Shelley McBee
