Marjorie Meckel Hardy's Obituary
Marjorie Meckel Hardy, 104, died March 25, 2015. Margie was the wife of the late Raymond Boyle Hardy and mother of three children. A lifelong Memphian, she was among the founding families of St. Louis Catholic Church and a member of Lourdes Circle of Ave Maria Guild. Margie lived a long and happy life filled with the love of family and friends. She will be remembered for her positive spirit, sense of humor, twinkling smile and expertise at cards, especially bridge. She enjoyed reading and sports and red lipstick and fingernail polish. Loving survivors include daughter Mimi McCracken (John) and their daughters, Kimberly Westerveld (Marcel) of Badhoevedorp, Holland, Brett Ray (Spence) and Kelly McCracken of Memphis. Great grandchildren include Conner, Landon and Madeline Ray of Memphis and Joshua and Matthew Westerveld of Holland. Margie was predeceased by her husband and two sons, Raymond L. and Jon R. Hardy. A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Louis at 10 a.m., Saturday by Monsignor John McArthur and private burial at Memorial Park Cemetery.
