Maryanne Tiscia
I have the most fond memories of Marie and Robert Marchetti. My parents, Joe and Helen Tiscia loved them dearly. My sister and I shared great times in their home in Memphis on Hillsdale in the 1960's. Always so welcoming and kind. We were introduced to their love of Pekinese when their dog had a litter
and they gifted us one.
Marie kept a beautiful and meticulously decorated home, just like our Mother. Robert was so talented in his knowledge of fixing all things, identical to our father. We acquired our first jukebox through his access of knowing where to find such treasures. They were the perfect couple...always so respectful of each other, alway expressing such happiness and true love. I last saw them both, just by coincidence, when they were visiting Marie's mother's grave site. My father had recently passed away and I was placing flowers on his grave. Even from afar, I knew it was them, Marie as beautiful as I remembered. And Robert as handsome. Tears rolled from his eyes seeing my father's grave. It was so touching. The last of the greatest generation which respected the vows and loyalty of marriage, family and responsibility.
My heart breaks for Tina and Edie as I share in the same sadness of losing
our parents. It never feels real, fair or long enough. You were blessed with the best. I want to believe they are celebrating together in heaven.
