I took her for Geometry back in high school, and to be honest, I deplored the subject; however, Mrs. Baker made such an impression on my life through her wonderful stories, colorful presentations, and dedication to decency and her students. I will never forget her, and may she rest in peace.
Marcia was my very first girlfriend. I was in ninth grade and she was in the seventh. I remember how we would just sit at her house and talk. She was a very sweet young lady. I graduated from Messick in 1965. I pray for her husband and family.
I knew Marcia at Old Hickory Academy where she was one of my favorite teachers. The smile so often mentioned will not be forgotten. I just heard about this and am saddened indeed by this loss to our society. Deepest regards.
Marcia was a fabulous member if the Charlotte Morgan Dancers and the WHBQcuties. We had so many wonderful experiences together and we will never forget her smile. I am so saddened for your loss. Marcia was a most godly woman, eager to serve her Lord through out her college years at Southwestern at Memphis. Brad, I am so sorry to learn of your loss. As you may remember, Marcia was my roommate our freshman year at Southwestern. She had the best smile ever and the sunniest disposition. She never seemed to let things get her down. I have thought of her often over the years with great fondness and even told people I roomed with a former Miss Teenage Memphis.
