Gary was a great friend he was true and all American. His word was his bond and his handshake meant something! We need to get back to raising men like him- not the snowflakes we have nowadays! I know Gary would agree..

Condolences to Peggy Hood and the entire family, and all their friends, in our prayers and always in our hearts on Gary’s passing.
I worked with Gary for a very long time. We became friends, and we shared hobbies. Gary was the kind of friend everyone needs. He was there for you, anytime. He was a great: man, deputy, knifemaker, and friend.
I had the honor of working with Gary at the Sheriff’s Department for many years. We were a much smaller Department in the old days and were a very close group. We had many wonderful times together as friends and co-workers. I can remember ball games and cook outs like it was yesterday. Peggy and Gary were gracious hosts after ballgames. Gary was one of the most well liked and respected officers that ever wore a uniform. I was proud to call him my friend, and I look forward to seeing him again someday. My condolences to Peggy and the family.
