Luella "Kitty" Lowe's Obituary
Luella “Kitty” Lowe, 94, passed peacefully to go home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 18, 2016. Kitty was a Brownie, Girl Scout, and Y-teen leader. She also served as past president of the Exchangettes Downtown and taught third grade Sunday school at Grace Methodist Church of which she was a charter member. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. Mrs. Lowe was preceded in death by her husband Tommy who she devotedly and sacrificially took care of for 15 years until his passing. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Moore of Cordova, and son, Mike Lowe of Florence, MS, four grandchildren; Lauren Paige Robertson, Callie Lanelle Godbold, Jennifer Smith, and Jill Duffy, five great grandchildren; Cullen Haley, Morgan Smith, Mimi Smith, Mary Rhea, and Molly Duffy. The visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m., Sunday, August 21, until the service time at 2:30 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Entombment will be in the Memorial Park Mausoleum. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
