I just recently learned of Lloyd's graduation to Heaven; he was VERY supportive and helpful with some of PRI's BAM, business as missions, efforts in Asia in the early/mid1990's. One of these was very successful and one not so. Lloyd never complained but instead sought ways to help.
Because of Lloyd’s love of God and and his faithfulness to live out the good news of Jesus every day, I sit here today a follower of Jesus Christ. Inside my wedding ring is inscribed the words Lloyd taught the men every Sunday morning, “Remember Whose you are”. In fact, lloyd hung those words on the wall next to the door inside our bible study room so as to be clearly seen every time we exited the room.Another phrase I’ll never forget Lloyd using is “are you checking in with headquarters?”. A plea for us to always to seek God’s will and obediently follow, not always knowing the plan, but always knowing and trusting Who is in charge.A most faithful and selfless man if there ever was one. A true example of one within whom the Holy Spirit dwelt.To live is gain, but to die is Christ. Lloyd lived this out daily. Now he is living in the kingdom and rejoicing in the redemptive work of Christ , receiving his reward in the presence of God Almighty. Well done good and faithful servant! May we all grow in Christ as Lloyd did. Thank you my brother and welcome home!
I am so glad I had a chance to know Lloyd, even though it was only a few years. A truly wonderful, dear man full of grace and warmth.
