Lisa Carol Wallace's Obituary
Lisa Carol Wallace, 48, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017. She was employed by The Commercial Appeal doing a job that she loved! She was a graduate of Briarcrest Christian School and Creighton College. She was a devoted daughter, niece, friend and follower of Jesus Christ. She will be remembered for her smile, her gift of gab and quick wit and enduring trust in God. She enjoyed entertaining and cooking on the Big Green Egg, traveling, dining out with friends and her book club. She leaves her parents, Billy and Carol Ann Wallace, a family that adored her, and her canine companion, Molly. A memorial service will be held at Colonial Park United Methodist Church, 5370 Park Ave., where Lisa has been a member since the age of 10. Visitation 10-11 a.m. with Service following at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 21. Memorials in Lisa’s honor may be made to Colonial Park United Methodist Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Her family would like to offer special thanks to the medical staff at West Clinic and Semmes Murphy, as well as the many family members and friends that walked with her during her journey, as a warrior of courage and faith.
