Lester Graves' Obituary
DR. LESTER ROSE GRAVES JR., lifetime Memphis Obstetrician/Gynecologist at Baptist and Methodist Hospitals for over 60 year. Dr. Graves passed away peacefully with family present on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Baptist East. Dr. Graves would have been 85 years young this April 21st. He embraced life. He love to learn, traveled extensively, and was sincerely devoted to his family, his practice, and his thousands of patients. He is predeceased by his father, Lester R. Graves Sr., his mother, Julia Helen Elizabeth LePrince Graves; half sister, Jessie Niemeyer Graves Nash; his wife of 59 years, Barbara Ann Flippin Graves. He leaves his childen, Gwen Maxwell (Flinn), Lester R. Graves III (Jeannie), Cindy Hill (Everett) and his fiancee, Malinda Grisanti with whom he had planned an April 11th wedding. He also leaves 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A private ceremony will be held immediately for the family at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, then a Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 21st at 1 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home.
