Larry Clark's Obituary
Larry Dunne Clark Sr., 70, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016. A 1964 graduate of Kingsbury High School, he earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Memphis State University where he was a member of both the marching band and Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He was also the drummer with the 1960s garage-band “The Tempests”. Larry was a Memphis City Schools teacher and successful owner of Midwest Produce and Happy Farmer. He spent the last 30 plus years as a Realtor/Broker, was a lifetime member of the Multi-Million Dollar Club, Re/Max Hall of Fame inductee and was recognized with numerous other awards and honors. He was a lifelong Memphis Tigers and St. Louis Cardinals fan, avid golfer, and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He leaves behind his wife Donna Clark and children Lorrie (John Mark) Jackson, Carrie (Brad) Thomas, Larry Clark Jr., and Ashley Smith as well as his beloved five grandchildren. He is survived by his sister Anne (Joe) Beasley and preceded in death by his parents Bill and Norma Clark. Visitation will be Sunday, December 18 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a memorial service at 1 p.m. on Monday, December 19 both at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family has requested non-blooming plants or donations be made to the Memphis Union Mission.
