Keith Sharp's Obituary
Keith H. Sharp Sr., 87 of Memphis, TN died March 25, 2015 suddenly in his home in Germantown. He was born March 31, 1927 in Memphis, the son of Vonsie and Elise Sharp. Keith was a graduate of Tech High School in Memphis and served in the Army in the Pacific theatre during WWII. He worked for Burroughs Corporation automating banking business processes with what would now be called robotics for 30 years. He retired to Destin, FL and recently returned to the Memphis area. Keith was notable in Memphis history as a founding member of the Memphis Ski Club, putting on exhibitions throughout the south in the 1950’s and 60’s. He was also a member of The Grand Krewe of RaMet, active in local politics and renowned for building houses, motorhomes, and boats in his spare time. He is survived by his wife Annie Mahaffey Sharp, son Keith H. Sharp, Jr., daughter-in-law Connie B. Sharp and grandson Brian H. Sharp. A service will be held at Memorial Park in Memphis, TN on Friday April 3, 2015. Visitation will be at 1:30 PM and the service will begin at 2:30 PM. Keith will be buried next to his wife Carolyn Sharp and daughter Kathy Sharp
