My condolences and prayers to the family during this transitional season.
My heart is heavy this morning with the lost of my former Bishop K.D. Johnson of Pleasant View Baptist Church where my sister and I attended growing up as a children. For myself being with Madae, Momma Dessie Aunt Mae who were all active in the church from being choir members or and an usher. My sister and joined the youth choir like Aunt Mae and I was apart of the Jr. Usher Board like my Mommie Dessie. He was a greater leader, teacher, and an amazing singer. He is apart of the reason God placed us under his leadership and that’s where my spiritual growth began . Not only did Bishop K.D. Johnson show up for regular church services he was involved with the youth and as I child I remember he would pack us all in his car and other church members would bring the rest of us in their cars we would go bowling and have fun nights at church. Bishop K.D. Johnson was an excellent role model for all of us and father figure to those whose fathers were absent in their lives. I truly thank God I was brought during those times because I can honestly say I’ve been through hell and back but because God and his leadership I stand strongly on I am everything with God and I’m nothing with out him. Greater is he who is in me than he who is in the world I John 4:4. Bishop K.D. Johnson my you continue to Rest In Peace in Heaven. Truly thanking God for my faith and my anointing I promise many people really don’t know!!!!Hallelujah Thank You God another Angel has gained their wings Bishop K. D Johnson!!!!!
U know although i stop going to church bishop meant a lot to me i remember the last time me and bishop met we was in the meeting with me and my dad and without bishop me and my dad would be separate right now but, bishop bought us back together and helped our relationship and i remember bishop last words to me were "Jaylon make sure you have a plan and life and with that plan ask god to help you accomplish that plan and to be with you" and when he said that he was smiling and very serious about it and we shook hands and hugged but little did i know that would be the last time i'll ever touch him or see him. But, bishop you will be missed very much and i love u so much man and R.I.P
I grew up with Bishop Johnson on Birch Street in Memphis, Tennessee. He was called to serve early in his young life. We had some fun times growing up and sharing our experiences in high school. Although he was younger in years, he was mature. He will be missed. My prayers for the loved ones he left behind.

Remembering Bishop KD Johnson as an inspiring teacher, preacher, exhorter, writer and singer who had the oil. He was approachable, gave practical advice and encouraged others to believe for the supernatural. He was a valued forever friend and is irreplaceable.
