Joseph P. Bartkiewicz's Obituary
JOSEPH PAUL BARTKIEWICZ JR. passed away March 11, 2015. Joe was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on March 30, 1938. He attended James Ford Rhodes High School in Cleveland where he met his future wife, Fran Chiabotti. They married October 3, 1959. Throughout high school, he had his head under the hood of a car which provided a basis for his work career serving in a variety of capacities in the mechanics and maintenance of trucks. Having a strong work ethic, he transferred his knowledge and experience to Director of Maintenance of buses at Cleveland RTA. Outside of work, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. Beginning with mundane tasks usually led to leadership positions as in Cub Scouts, BMX racing, American Public Transit Association, and Davies Plantation Homeowners Association. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Fran, a daughter Barbara McFall and two sons Mike and Dave along with two grandchildren Stephanie and Josh McFall. A celebration of his life will be Tuesday, March 17, 2015, from 5-7 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, “Behind the Stone Wall.”
