My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time. Dr. Nash was such a wonderful, loving, and dynamic person to be around. He always loved his patients and fellow co-workers. I had the honor and privilege of training under him at UT and the Baptist Hospital from 1979-1984. He was best of friends with my late father Dr. Fred Moore, Jr. He will be greatly missed! I can still hear him now in the OR asking the scrub nurse ” Give little Johnny a silky pop”. O. Fred Moore III, M.D.

My name is Myra Oliver and I am a veteran. I worked with Dr. Nash at the VA in the surgery clinic. My memory of Dr. Nash is a great one. He was such an interesting person and very attentive to the doctors, residents, nurses, staff, and the veterans. Dr. Nash was such a pleasant soul and a very respectful person. I have often thought of Dr. Nash because people of his statue, charm, moral and great tenacity is not easy to come by and Dr. Nash is and will be greatly missed. May God continue to bless and keep you all, the family and if there is anything I can do, please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you for allowing us, the staff and the patients at the VA to be embraced with such a wonderful and dear soul. God bless.
