John Dudley McMahon's Obituary
John Dudley McMahon, age 80, passed away on February 18, 2022. He was born on November 4, 1941 to Dudley and Virginia McMahon and he graduated from Treadwell H.S. in Memphis TN. He moved to Greenville MS in 1973 and opened his business, Port City Glass and Paint Co. He became successful and opened 8 other businesses with partners and had a network of companies that reached into 6 states. After over 30 years running his business, he retired. Always an avid golf player, he pursued his passion and has recorded 4 hole-in-ones. He supported various charities throughout his life with St. Jude being his favorite. He was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Edna McMahon who passed away in December 2010. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, JoAnne and Bill Hawkins of Nashville TN and his children, Christine Burkett and her husband Ron Burkett and Paul McMahon and his wife Joyce McMahon. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Dylan Summerhill, Michael McMahon, Alex McMahon, Kyle Burkett and Brittany Funk and has five great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to St. Jude in his remembrance.
