Susan Smith
John and Eddye moved across the street from us in 1990. We shared 15 years of friendship there on Stonecrest Cr in Lakeland. He watched our kids grow up with Dylan always there in the mix. I cherish those memories of our families, the fried turkey at Thanksgiving, the pool fun, and the tricks John and Rick pulled on each other. Once when we got home from the beach, John had replaced a toilet in his house and put the old one in our front yard! Then it was game on.
I can't speak of John without sharing the friendship he and Rick had as loyal golf buddies. They shared not only golf, but words of support and loyalty to each other there. Our family, Katie, Corey, and I will never forget John's presence on that day that our Rick left this earth.
Christine, Paul, Dylan, and all of your family, we offer our sincerest sympathy for the loss of your loved one. He was well loved. I know he fought hard these last months, and I marveled at the strength in his voice as he endured health issues.
We are praying for you in this time, and we know he is in his heavenly home with his beloved wife, Eddye. With love, Susan
