John H. Corbet's Obituary
John H. Corbet, 85, of Germantown, TN, passed away Friday, September 9, 2016 of complications from cancer. His visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. until his service begins at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14th at Memorial Park Funeral Home. It is requested memorials be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (www.cff.org). He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Liz; daughter, Jill Worley (Jim); grandsons, Brian and Eric; and brother, Dan Corbet. He was preceded in death by his son, Roger. Proudly, John served our country as a Lieutenant in the Navy from 1955 to 1958 and was stationed in Japan. John was a natural educator. He received his PhD from University of Florida in 1963 and taught geography at Memphis State University for over 30 years.
