Joanne Wentworth's Obituary
Joanne King Wentworth, 65, passed away the morning of April 3, 2015. She was a retired elementary teacher from Harding Academy after 41 years. She was born November 11, 1949 in Flint, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Lorene King. She is survived by her husband, Roy and her pugs, Bess and Baden-Powell; brother, David King (Karen) of Madison Heights, MI; niece, Christy Laws (Kurt) of Lincoln, NE; nephew, Joseph King of Madison Heights, MI; two great-nephews; and a great-niece. Visitation will be at 9:45 a.m., Friday, April 10 with services to follow at 11 a.m. at the White Station Church of Christ, 1106 Colonial Road. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue. Memorials may be sent to White Station Church of Christ, Good Samaritans Ministry or the Memphis Humane Society. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave. Memphis, TN 38119, “Behind the Stone Wall.”
