Jo Ann D. Littlejohn's Obituary
Jo Ann D. Littlejohn, 77, of Cordova, Tennessee entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, August 8, 2016. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim R. Littlejohn, her parents Vendal Thompson and Effie Mae Duke, and her brother William T. Duke. Jo Ann is survived by her three children, Jim R. Littlejohn Jr. and his wife Tina Richards Littlejohn, Jonathan A. Littlejohn and his wife Renee Gann Littlejohn, and Joy Littlejohn Atkinson and her husband Hugh Lynn Atkinson. She had twelve grandchildren – Ann Marie Littlejohn, Jimmy R. Littlejohn III, Thomas Littlejohn, Garrett Littlejohn, Alissa Littlejohn, Alden Littlejohn, Hugh Atkinson, Hayden Atkinson, Hardy Atkinson, Heston Atkinson, Henry Atkinson, and Hudson Atkinson.Jo Ann and her husband served as missionaries in Rome, Italy for 20 years with Greater Europe Mission. Jo Ann was a registered nurse and graduate of Baptist School of Nursing. After returning to the States in 1985, she resumed her work at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Central and later at Baptist Memorial Hospital-East.Visitation will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The funeral service will take place at First Evangelical Church on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 1:00 pm where Jo Ann was a long time member, followed by her burial at Memorial Park. A visitation prior to the funeral service will begin at 12:00 pm.
