Carolyn Rodgers And Family
How we all will miss JoAnn’s friendship and that wonderful, hearty laugh. You could walk into the fellowship hall of First Evangelical where she was a faithful member and you could find JoAnn by that special happy laugh. She loved people and life and her love of talking and having fellowship with her friends lit up a room. One felt loved just being with her even the children of the church felt it, my son did. He was drawn to her laughter and happy voice and their shared red hair as a small fellow. Though she loved her children and especially her grands and talked about them to anyone who would listen, she still had room to love another. There’s no one like JoAnn, her love for the Lord was contagious. Church will never be quite the same, because church already seems empty without her laughter and smile and genuine love. Heaven is even sweeter now! Her passing should make all of us long for the Lords return or to finish well like JoAnn and be ready to meet Him too! What a sweet dear friend that all of us will miss terrible but only for a while because of our faith, in Jesus holds eternity for us too! Revelation 14:13 Then I heard a voice from heaven say, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.” My prayers and love to all her precious family as it was a blessing to get to know and love many of you during her illness. ~Carolyn Rodgers for all of us.
