Jean Balding's Obituary
Imigene (Jean) Ross Balding, 87, was born Sept 21, 1926 in Howard County, Arkansas; and died February 12, 2014, in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee. Jean is the only daughter of the late David Eldridge Ross and Mildred Robinson of Holly Creek, Howard County, Arkansas. Jean and her late husband Harold George Balding were both born and raised in Arkansas, and moved to Memphis in 1957. Jean was a retired teacher for the Memphis City Schools and loved teaching. She leaves behind two children Mark Balding and Marla Balding Northcut, four grandchildren, Jennifer Jaye Northcut Cole, Christian Nicole Northcut Brown, Sarah Balding, and Ross Balding. In addition she had four great grandchildren Corbin, Mallie and Titan Cole and Hadley Brown. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Memorial Park Funeral Home. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
