Miss Jane was a very dear sweet lady when I met her at the Country Cottage in Corinth, MS, two and a half years ago. She saw something in me that made her want to talk and visit with me when ever I was visiting my mother-in-law at the Cottage. She would talk with me in her soft sweet voice and ask me to take her to her room or take her to a table in the dining area. The last time she asked me to help her was to call her husband about a week and a half ago. One day I noticed her finger nails were not painted like the other ladies at the Cottage (which is a pastime there). I asked her if she wanted me to paint her nails. She said yes, she would like that. I told her I did not have any finger nail polish with me that day but I would get some and we would paint them the next time I came. Unfortunately I became sick and was not able to visit for a while and someone else got to paint Miss Jane’s nails. When I saw her again, she had them painted very nicely. You could tell Miss Jane was a true southern lady. She had the manners and posture and I am so very sorry I did not get to know her when she was younger. My husband and I would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Miss Jane. Please let us know if we can help you in any way. Sincerely, Donna and T. Gerald McClintock

My Aunt Jane combined the graciousness, good humor and loving patience that characterizes true Southern ladies. Her great love for her children shone through in everything she did for them and, to her credit they have grown up to be fine adults in their own rights. She and my Uncle Bob have always been major parts of my life, and we became extremely close during the illness of my grandfather, Julies Winchester. Aunt Jane’s love for family and love for God were especially dear to me during that difficult time. I look forward to seeing her again someday when I have crossed that bar between this earth and our home in Heaven.I thank God for blessing my life with such an amazing, sweet and loving aunt like my Aunt Jane!
