Jane Eveland was always a gracious and accommodating hostess. I was one of Rip’s college friends and I spent many nights at the Eveland home. It was always a warm and living place thanks in no small part to Jane. She reveled in our tales of our college days and was always the consummate southern lady of the house. I have fond memories of those days and fond memories of Jane Eveland.
